Baba Patisa Gujranwala Ingredients and Recipe
The ingredients required for preparation of Patisa are plain flour, gram flour, sugar, ghee, milk, water, Cardamom seeds, and charmagaz. There is also need for a polythene sheet and the square size molders. To prepare the Patisa, the gram flour and plain flour are mixed together. The ghee is heated at a medium flame in the saucepan. The flour mixture is added in the pan and it is roasted till the color turns golden brown. The mixture is continuously stirred and is set aside to cool down. The sugar syrup is prepared with the consistency of thread of 2.5 by mixing sugar and water at medium to high flame. As soon the required consistency is reached it is instantly added in the flour mixture. In the next step the mixture is beaten until thread like flakes are formed. It is then spread evenly on a tray with 1-2 inch thickness and then cut in square shapes with the molder. The charmagaz seeds and elaichi are added to the top to make it look tempting. It is stored in air tight container to preserve for couple of days.
