Haji Hakim Key Sharaqpuri Gulab Jamun Recipe
Powdered milk (1 cup)
All-purpose flour (1/2 cup)
Oil/ ghee (2 cup)
Fresh milk (1tbs)
Butter or curd (1 and half tbsp)
Baking soda (1/4tbs)
Cardamom powder (1/5 tbs)
Pistachio (crushed 3-4tbs)
Almond (crushed 3-4 tbs)
1 ½ cup sugar
1 ½ cup water
Mix all the dry ingredient according to the quantity and make sure there is nothing left. Now pass this dry mixture through a sieve. Now gently add the entire wet ingredient, just make sure everything is finely mixed and there are no hard cores, grease your hands with oil and turn the mixture into dough.
Let the dough sit for almost half an hour; now divide the dough into equal parts. Turn each part into a ball or oval structure, for perfect sharqpuri gulab jamun turn it into oval shape.
Pour oil into the pan and let it heat, now fry the dough balls until they are perfectly light brown from all sides.
Pour equal amount of water and sugar and gently mix it until all the sugar is dissolved. Add cardamom and rose water to enhance the aroma and flavor.
Now put all the balls into the sugar syrup let it sit for some time. You will see fried dough balls will soak the syrup and increase in size. Garnish pistachio and almonds on top and serve it hot.
